What Is Neuromuscular Therapy?
Murrieta neuromuscular therapy is a specialized discipline within the field of massage therapy that utilizes a number of techniques aimed at restoring optimal muscle tone.
This results in improvement in posture and movement, and reduction in myofascial pain.
What is the difference between deep tissue massage and neuromuscular massage?
The difference is the intent and overall strategy. Deep tissue massage is often a general massage technique or session that emphasizes deep pressure applied to either specific areas or the whole body.
Neuromuscular techniques are applied to specific muscles or muscle groups that have been found to be tight or restrictive by evaluation.
There are numerous techniques that a neuromuscular therapist may use to restore normal range of motion or reduce muscle tension, and massage techniques are just one kind.
Is Murrieta neuromuscular therapy and trigger point therapy the same thing?
Neuromuscular therapy is often associated with trigger point therapy, but it does not have to be.
Trigger points are normal and common to have, and their relevance to chronic pain is questionable, especially considering new scientific research findings.
Some therapists based their entire therapy on identification and elimination of trigger points, but Release Muscle Therapy does not share that therapeutic approach.
If trigger points are found in problematic or painful areas, they will be addressed with neuromuscular techniques, but the primarily focus of the therapy will not be placed on eliminating trigger points themselves.
