Our Pain Relief Process

Release Muscle Therapy Provides More Than Just Massage

Discovery Before Massage Therapy
Discovery & Analysis

We begin by thoroughly evaluating the factors contributing to your discomfort, aiming to uncover the most critical elements of your pain experience. This process includes assessing your movements to identify patterns that may trigger discomfort, pinpointing specific areas of tension or pain, and understanding how your soft tissues respond to pressure or stress.

Analysis Before Massage Therapy
Personalized Action Plan

Using the insights gathered during the discovery phase, we craft a personalized action plan that directly addresses your body’s specific challenges. This plan strategically targets muscle imbalances, movement dysfunctions, and underlying sources of pain to prepare your body for effective healing. It includes precise interventions, clear goals and practical steps to guide your progress.

Precision During Massage Therapy
Precision Therapy

Your personalized therapy program is designed for precision and includes:

  • Hands-on Techniques like myofascial release and neuromuscular therapy.
  • Targeted Exercises to improve strength and mobility.
  • Lifestyle Adjustments to ensure lasting results.

At Release Muscle Therapy we use a combination of Therapeutic Movement, Myofascial Release and Massage to:

Check Icon Reduce Pain

Therapy targets the root causes of discomfort, helping alleviate chronic pain and allowing you to move more freely with less discomfort.

Check Icon Reduce Soreness

Massage techniques and muscle release therapy ease post-exercise or chronic muscle soreness, speeding up recovery and minimizing stiffness.

Check Icon Restore Balance

Muscle release therapy focuses on restoring the normal balance of connective tissues around your muscles and bones, helping to reduce tension and improve overall function.

Check Icon Increase Range of Motion

By applying sustained pressure to sensitive areas, this therapy releases restrictions, allowing for greater mobility and pain relief.

Check Icon Improve Flexibility

Stretching and softening connective tissue reduces stiffness, making it easier to move freely and enhancing your flexibility.

Check Icon Reduce Scar Tissue

Post-surgery or injury, muscle release therapy helps minimize adhesions and scar tissue, speeding up recovery and reducing discomfort.

Check Icon Calm the Nervous System

Neuromuscular techniques soothe overly sensitive nerves, decreasing the effects of physical and emotional stress on the body.

Check Icon Increase Blood Flow

Improved circulation from therapy promotes faster healing and prepares your body for physical activities by delivering nutrients more effectively.

Check Icon Enhance Tissue Hydration

Better tissue hydration keeps your muscles and joints in optimal condition, supporting recovery and reducing stiffness.

Frequently Asked Questions About Foot and Ankle Massage Therapy

Does Release Muscle Therapy relieve plantar fasciitis?

Traditional massage often focuses on relaxation or surface-level tension relief, providing temporary comfort. Release Muscle Therapy, on the other hand, is designed to address the root causes of pain by restoring balance in your body’s connective tissues and correcting movement dysfunctions.

By combining advanced techniques like myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, and targeted corrective exercises, this approach doesn’t just relieve pain—it helps you regain mobility, improve flexibility, and reduce soreness over the long term. It’s not about temporary fixes but creating lasting results tailored to your unique needs.

  • Post-Surgery Patients: Reduce scar tissue, minimize adhesions, and recover faster with a tailored program designed to complement physical therapy.
  • Individuals with Limited Mobility: If stiffness, tightness, or restricted motion is holding you back, our techniques can help you move more freely.

If you’re unsure whether this therapy is right for you, schedule a free 1:1 consultation to discuss your concerns and goals.

Does muscle therapy hurt?

While some discomfort might occur during therapy, especially when releasing tight or restricted areas, the intensity is always adjusted to your comfort level. Unlike harsh treatments that can cause unnecessary pain, Release Muscle Therapy uses sustained, strategic pressure and gentle techniques to ensure effective results without overloading your body.

Your therapist will communicate with you throughout the session to make sure the pressure is appropriate and manageable. Many clients describe the process as deeply relieving, even when it involves a bit of discomfort.

How long does it take to see results?

Results vary depending on the individual and the severity of the condition. Some clients notice significant improvements after just one session, such as reduced pain or increased range of motion. However, chronic issues or long-term pain patterns often require a series of sessions to achieve lasting relief.

A personalized plan is key to maximizing results. During your free consultation, we’ll assess your specific needs and outline a strategy tailored to your body and goals. Most clients find that consistent sessions paired with recommended exercises and adjustments to daily habits lead to optimal outcomes.

What should I wear to my session?

We recommend wearing comfortable, flexible clothing, such as athletic wear or loose-fitting garments, that allows for a full range of motion. This is important because your session may include stretches, corrective exercises, or other movements designed to enhance your therapy’s effectiveness.

If you’re unsure about what to bring or wear, feel free to reach out ahead of time for guidance. Your comfort and ability to move freely are priorities during your session.

Is massage therapy for feet and ankles the same as chiropractic?

No! Chiropractic focuses on manipulation of the joints to create changes. There “can” be some changes in the muscles as a result of chiropractic manipulation, more often than not muscles need to be released separately. In addition, muscles must re-learn how to work through movement therapy.

Joint adjustments do not accomplish this, which is often why it doesn’t work for many people with heel pain. The problem isn’t always associated to the joints themselves.

Our process addresses the underlying muscle balance patterns that contribute to chronic stress to the plantar fascia, and addresses them by using techniques that restore normal muscle tone without joint manipulation.

Do you accept insurance?

No, I do not accept insurance as a form of payment at this time.
