OUR PROCESS

EVALUATION OF SOFT TISSUE AND MOVEMENT

The Release Muscle Therapy system includes a variety of techniques.  Some are meant to shorten muscles, while others lengthen them.  Knowing where to apply the appropriate techniques can make all the difference in your results.  That is why we start with a thorough evaluation of posture, movement, and muscle tension patterns so we can create a blueprint for your unique needs.

HANDS-ON MUSCLE RELEASE TECHNIQUES

Based on the findings of your Release Muscle Therapy evaluation, a combination of hands-on massage therapy techniques along with special tools and movements will allow for the fastest easing of muscle tension and restoration of mobility possible, all with virtually minor discomfort.

FOLLOW UP MOVEMENT INSTRUCTIONS TO TAKE HOME

Hands-on massage therapy is a big step in the right direction, but its often not enough to get lasting results.  Your body must learn to integrate the changes from the Release therapy, which means you need to relearn certain movements in order to get lasting changes.  We give you the most effective exercises, stretches, or mobility drills that work to supercharge your results.  Thoroughly explained and demonstrated, you'll feel confident in exactly how to perform them when you leave.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, unfortunately we do not take insurance.

As non-medical professionals, we do not treat or diagnose any specific medical conditions.  The focus of our work is on the soft-tissue tension patterns and movement imbalances that are often associated with common diagnoses using hands-on massage and movement release techniques.

This depends on the complexity of the issue, the number of health and lifestyle factors involved, as well as the speed at which your body adapts to changes after the Release therapy is applied.  Most minor issues resolve within a few visits, while more complex issues may take 10 visits or more.

No.  While some massage therapies are classically known to be very aggressive and painful, we take the approach that “less is more”.  We often find the most gentle techniques can produce amazing results when applied to the right areas.  Some minor discomfort is ok, but we do not believe effective massage therapy must be painful for success.

Unlike traditional massage, you do not need to completely undress.  For most of our clients, we recommend loose fitting athletic shorts and a sports bra for women.  This allows us to access the areas we need to.
